Hello yourself!

To be honest, I didn't realise that it had been so long. I just had some personal things happen that made me need to take some mental steps away from the Naruto fandom (such a long and tawdry tale). Then for a while, I thought I was moving to a different state, but I wound up staying where I am.

Yeah. The mental health break had to happen or I was going to start stabbing my life partner. We're basically together again? still? It got complicated.

This is way too much information, but here it is anyway! We've always had an open relationship, but he started seeing someone and didn't tell me about it first. He kind of hates Naruto even though he's been on Konoha Corner, so I noticed when out of nowhere he decided to cosplay as Itachi (I had to explain the character and his motivations to him). To make the long and tawdry tale a little bit shorter, I found out it was because he'd started to date a semi big-name cosplayer who is creepily in love with Itachi and thinks that he greatly resembles that character.

It sort of soured the whole fanfiction and fanart experience for me. Every time I'd read something about Itachi or tangentially related to Itachi I just got really pissed off, but everything is better now!

That would definitely have soured fandom for me too! But I'm so glad that you're okay/better now!
